Just a extremely loud whine. Hey guys, i've seen some similar posts on here relating to a slight whining noise when revving up in 1st and 2nd gear, but from what i read in the details/heard in videos did not quite match up to the kind of whine i've got.

Sure the wrong oil may make the noise louder, but if you can hear it, i'd say there's a reasonable chance that the gearbox would be up for an overhaul, unless the oil was something silly like a 0w10 grade, but i'd also expect to see the oil warning lamp come on at idle and possibly even at low revs. I don't have to do stop and go in 1/2 much. Well, i never heard it on mine, maybe because the exhaust is louder, but i have a definite whine in 6th gear on mine.

Over The Past Few Weeks, Ive Noticed An Intermittent 'Howl' From The Engine.

The car is a 2007 and is completely stock. It makes grinding noise notably in 1st and 2nd gear but present in higher gears also. My other bike is a gsx1400 which has a factory fitted whine in 1st.
