Transmission Grinding Noise When Accelerating
Transmission Grinding Noise When Accelerating. Hello couple months ago my peugeot started making “grinding” noise from the gearbox, the noise gets louder and more high pitched when accelerating but it can also be heard when in neutral, when i press the clutch pedal the sound disappears. Why is my transmission rattling?

It seems to me that transmission mounts would be the logical place to start then. The incorrect fluid type was inserted into your transmission, gears or bearings have worn down, or there are. Automatic transmission noises are often very different than engine noises.
The Most Pronounced Rocking Or Movement Of The Engine Occurred When Accelerating Forward From Full Stop.
Hi all, i've noticed a definite grinding or heavy scraping noise when accelerating in low gears, 1st/2nd. Both diff bearings and 1of the input shaft bearings were replaced the clutch was replaced as well including the release. Regarding a noisy transmission, the trouble could range from a lack or loss of transmission fluid;

If they're so bad that the alignment of the driveline is off then that could be what is causing your noise (through a rotating part hitting something because there is nothing stopping it from moving upon deceleration). Well, went to transmission shop today and told them about the issue and had them test drive it. It really depends on where it’s coming from.

If your car is making a grinding noise when accelerating from a stop, it could very well be your differential. The transmission is a component in your car consisting of many gears. There are very brief periods where the engine sounds perfectly smooth, but the grinding resumes seconds later.
Its A Little Hard To Tell From The Video, But It Sounds Like The Starter Is Staying Engaged After The Engine Is Running.
The grinding noise is almost always apparent when accelerating at low speeds, especially in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. I have a 2001 honda accord (automatic) with 128k miles. It started off a couple of weeks ago as a very low (only some people could even hear it) humming kind of noise.
Automatic Transmission Noises Can Be Minor Or Serious;
Since the vehicle is front wheel drive, the automatic transmission assembly moved out of position slightly as well, not much, but enough for front wheel drive axle components to rub on something and cause said grinding noise. I’ve been having some strange grinding noises coming from the front while driving. Total cost = $2500 which is rebuilding it and taking it apart, etc.
